Two Parties for One Beautiful Lady

My roommate, Anna, turned 21 yesterday. In celebration of the big two one, we had 2 birthday parties in 1 day. The first party was a cake party with roommates and a few friends, basically this one was to throw Anna off the scent of the upcoming surprise party.

With all those candles, we should be worried about the house burning down.

Rather than worrying about the house burning down we should have been worried about Anna's hair catching fire.

 In the picture above you can see Alyse reaching to hold Anna's hair for her, you can also see her hair begin to ignite. Moments after this Shea showing superhuman reflexes shoves through people and extinguished the flames from Anna's hair!

Shea got Anna a record player and the cake party evolved to a dance party. Music included traditional waltz, African tribal, and Abba.

 The dance party was to celebrate the amazing record player Shea got Anna for her birthday. She can finally play all the vinyl records she has been collecting over the years.

Anna left to go to her play rehearsal, as soon as she was out of the driveway we started decorating and setting up for the real party to begin after her return.

Setup included stringing lights and streamers, sorry for the blurriness, they didn't stand still long enough for a picture to snap!

And, the lovely setup cheese table. We had Gruyere, Gouda, Roquefort, Gjetost, Vincent, Havarti, Irish Cheddar, Tillamook Cheddar, Laughing Cow, Chevre, Swiss, Brie, and a bunch of others that I cannot remember right now.

We had the lights off until Anna opened the door and then turned them on, do you think Anna looks good and confused/surprised?

It is not too long before she rose to the occasion and was truly joyful about the party.
