Gummies and Self Reliance

The Bonneville section of IFT (Institute of Food Technologists) in conjunction with the AACT (American Association of Candy Technologists) does an annual confectionery evening. The night always consists of a nice catered dinner, a presentation, ending with door prizes. We had quite a good turnout of BYU students that attended this year.

The food was wonderful, as usual.Unfortunately, the presentation this year was not as amazing and wonderful as it has been in the past.

I helped at the combined BYU Food Science and USU Extension Services booth at the recent Self Reliance Expo in Sandy. We were there to disseminate information about the research on long-term food storage done by BYU and also to refer people to the USU extension office for any questions they have.
